Intel has just shown off an update to its desktop-class CPU offerings through the Intel Arrow Lake-S processor series by showing off three new CPUs, including the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus and Intel Core Ultra 5 250KF Plus.
Recently, it has been reported that AMD is also expected to come up with updates for some of its own ZEN 5 processor chips, from the AMD Ryzen 9000 series. Just like Intel, AMD is reportedly going to update at least two CPUs from the AMD Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 5 9000 series.
This is also not the first time AMD has come up with its own CPU updates. Previously, they have also introduced chips like the AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900XT and so on. But this time, AMD seems to be taking a cue from Intel, and will brand this upgrade by changing the model number.
So for example, the AMD Ryzen 7 9700X processor chip will come with the model name AMD Ryzen 7 9750X, and not AMD Ryzen 9700XT as before. Looking at the previously updated CPUs, it usually only shows an increase in performance through IPC and speed frequencies and also an increase in electrical power consumption.
But this is not confirmed yet because so far no details are known about these new CPUs.
