Apple Introduces MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max Chip Options



Apple today continued its week of launches by introducing updates to the MacBook Pro laptop family. With this new update, the MacBook Pro now comes with a powerful chip, the M5 Pro or M5 Max. Both of these MacBook Pro options, each come with storage starting at 1TB and 2TB – providing more space for managing various documents and files.


At the same time, the MacBook Pro comes with the N1 chip for networking support, offering WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support. Apple says this laptop offers 24 hours of battery life.


Completing this laptop is also Thunderbolt 5 support, a 12MP Center Stage camera for video calls, studio-grade microphone support, and six built-in speakers.


The M5 Pro and M5 Max both come with options for up to 18 cores, allowing for high performance, as well as optimization in terms of energy consumption. Apple says the M5 Pro is suitable for those who perform complex tasks, including programmers and photographers. Meanwhile, the M5 Max is suitable for engineers who do a lot of simulations. Both come with GPU and NPU support that are optimized for faster AI processing support.


As before, it comes in two screen sizes, namely 14-inch and 16-inch. The 14-inch MacBook Pro M5 Pro is offered at a starting price of RM8,999, while the 16-inch is offered at a starting price of RM10,999.


The 14-inch MacBook Pro M5 Max is offered at a starting price of RM14,999, while the 16-inch version is priced at RM15,999.
