Chuck Norris, a Hollywood movie star and martial arts practitioner who once fought Bruce Lee, died last Thursday at the age of 86 in Hawaii after being hospitalized due to an emergency. His death was only announced by family members yesterday with the exact cause of death not yet announced.
Although he was a veteran of 80s and 90s action movies, Chuck Norris is better known among the younger generation for the “Chuck Norris Facts” meme that was popularized in 2005. Extreme facts mixed with humor such as “Chuck Norris can count to infinity” and “If Chuck Norris gets bitten by a snake, the snake will die” were popular in the early days of the internet.
Despite being almost 90 years old, Norris remained active until the end of his life which made his death a surprise. On the Internet, many fans said goodbye to him with many saying that he may have passed away, but his memes will live on forever.
