Intel Arrow Lake Refresh Processor Series Introduced – 15 Percent Better Performance Than Previous Series

After months of speculation and leaks, Intel has finally launched its latest desktop processor series, the Intel Core Ultra 200S Plus, to the general public.

This processor series is an update in the number of cores and processor speed, and comes in three new processor models, namely the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus and Intel Core Ultra 5 250KF Plus which is the same Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus chip, only without the built-in graphics processing chip.

As we reported previously, the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus comes with a combination of 8 Performance cores and 16 Efficiency cores, while the Intel Core Ultra 250K Plus will come with a combination of 6 Performance cores and 12 Efficiency cores. Although it supports existing Intel LGA 1851 motherboards, memory support will be increased to DDR5-7200 memory compared to the previous 6400 speed.

What has also been confirmed is the speed for the P-Core Boost Frequency or maximum speed for both of these processing chips, which is 5.5GHz for the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus and 5.3GHz for the Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus and Core Ultra 5 250KF Plus processing chips.

Intel also says that these processing chips come with a gaming performance increase of up to 15 percent when compared to previous models in tests of 38 different types of games.

To help with this performance improvement process, Intel also introduced the Binary Optimization Tool software that will speed up the game build process when it is started.

Intel also says that these processing chips will arrive on the market starting March 26, 2026, at a price of $299 for the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus chip and $199 for the Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus chip.
