Meta Reportedly Signs Deal With Google For AI Chips

Meta has recently announced collaborations with NVIDIA and AMD for access to chips to train artificial intelligence models. Not only that, it has also been reported that Meta has also signed a deal with Google for more or less the same purpose. However, both parties have not yet officially announced it.

Meta is reportedly looking to gain access to Google's Tensor chips, which offer support for inference for AI. Unlike for the purpose of training AI models, these Google chips are used to process various queries and user usage.

The value of this deal is not yet known. If true, it indirectly opens up a new business space for Google - while positioning them in the AI chip business to compete with NVIDIA and AMD.
