Nubia introduced the Neo 5 GT at MWC 2026 as an update to last year's model. This smartphone is aimed specifically at young users with a focus on esports-level gaming experiences.
Its offering is seen as quite attractive because it comes with built-in fan support for an active cooling system, which is something that is rarely offered in its class. In addition, the Neo 5 GT also brings several other advantages such as a professional cooling system, long-lasting battery, AI Game Space and AI Copilot Demi 2.0.
The Nubia Neo 5 GT uses a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 4500 nits. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chip with the NeoTurbo Engine which ensures that the frame rate remains stable when playing heavy games.
This device also comes with unique advantages through a built-in fan combined with a 29,508mm² cooling system and a Through-Flow Duct design that channels airflow directly to the CPU and battery.
nubia Neo 5 GT also comes with 550Hz Neo Triggers 5.0, a sub-5.5ms response rate, and Magic Touch 3.0 that ensures the screen remains responsive even with wet or oily fingers. A 6210mAh battery is used that supports 80W fast charging (5% extreme mode can provide up to 23 minutes of additional gaming session).
Neo 5 GT also offers a 50MP AI Triple rear camera and a 16MP front camera with built-in AI functions such as Scam Alert, AI Translate, and AI Image/Text Generation for daily use. Other features that complete the experience include a DTS:X Ultra Stereo audio system, X-Axis linear motor, a flat back design without a camera bump, and RGB lighting on the fan that adds to the style of the device itself.
For now, no official price has been announced, but the launch is expected to begin in Southeast Asia around this month before expanding to other markets.
