In the middle of last year, NVIDIA was reported to be introducing their first consumer computer processor chips, called NVIDIA N1 and N1X, which are a collaboration product between them and processor chip manufacturer MediaTek, using Arm chip technology.
The announcement was postponed from the Computex Taipei 2025 event to the CES 2026 event earlier this year, and recently, TAITRA, the organizer of the event, confirmed that NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang will hold a keynote event, and is expected to introduce the new processor chips.
This is also supported by several previous reports that said that several laptop brands such as Lenovo are already ready to show their own offerings.
NVIDIA N1 and N1X processor chips are Arm technology-based processor chips that are capable of running the Arm version of the Windows 11 operating system (similar to what Qualcomm does with their Snapdragon X chip) in addition to housing the GeForce RTX 5070 graphics processor component, which allows any computer with this chip to be used as a gaming computer or premium productivity class.
What is certain is that this year, the competition for the productivity and perhaps even gaming laptop segment will be seen to be getting fiercer with attractive offerings from parties such as Apple, AMD, Intel and now NVIDIA vying for dominance of the consumer computer market.
