Samsung was previously reported to be launching a book-type folding screen phone with a wide screen this year. The Huawei Pura X design will be inspired by Samsung's main goal in producing this device is to offer it earlier than Apple, which is also believed to be offering the same device.
The mock-up image above was produced by OnLeaks and Android Headlines and is based on CAD drawings that have already been leaked. The device has a 5.4″ outer screen that is wider than usual and a 7.6″ inner screen when opened has a 4:3 ratio. This makes the device, which is believed to be called the Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide, more like a mini tablet.
On the back, only dual cameras are used, believed to be a combination of a 200MP wide-angle lens paired with a 12 or 50MP ultra-wide lens. The oval-shaped camera bump is used again like the Z Fold7. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Wide and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 are expected to be launched around September.
