In the middle of last year, consumer technology company DJI introduced its first robot vacuum called DJI ROMO for the Chinese market, where a few months later, it was also introduced to several markets globally.
Half a year later, DJI Malaysia today announced that DJI Romo will finally enter the local market. DJI ROMO is a two-in-one robot vacuum that can vacuum and mop floors at the same time.
It is equipped with binocular vision sensors and three wide-angle lidars that allow it to identify and avoid thin objects such as cards or cables thicker than 2mm and comes with a suction power of up to 25000 Pascal for thorough cleaning.
The robot can operate for up to three hours covering an area of 178-square meters and takes 2.5 hours to fully charge. It works in temperatures up to 40°C and is equipped with a 164ml water tank that can automatically adjust its volume according to the level of dirt. The mop will automatically lift when it detects the carpet.
Users can also control Romo remotely via smartphone, including viewing the home and communicating with family members. There are three models on offer, namely the Roma P with a translucent design and a special dock, as well as the more basic Romo S and ROMO A with a white cover.
Today, DJI Malaysia announced that all three DJI ROMO robot vacuum series will be launched in the Malaysian market. The DJI ROMO P will be priced at RM5499, the DJI ROMO A at RM4799, and the DJI ROMO S will be priced at RM3999.
The only difference between these models is the transparent frame aesthetic on the ROMO P and ROMO A models, while the ROMO S has a white frame design on both the vacuum and the charging and cleaning dock. The ROMO P model also comes with a musty odor eliminator function for floors.
