Malaysians Traveling to India Must Present e-Arrival Card

The e-Arrival Card is now a mandatory document in addition to a visa for Malaysians wishing to travel to India. The Malaysian High Commission in New Delhi announced that all Malaysians must complete and submit the e-Arrival Card at least 72 hours before departure.

The new rule applies to all Malaysians including Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders. The e-Arrival Card form can be submitted online through the official Indian government portal. Travelers are also advised to keep a digital or printed copy of the e-Arrival Card confirmation for reference during travel.

Please note that this requirement is in addition to a valid visa and travel document, meaning it is not a replacement for a visa. The Malaysian High Commission also advises all Malaysians to always check the latest travel regulations and consult Indian authorities for updated guidelines.
