Google today introduced the Gemini app for macOS users, making it easier for you to access Gemini's artificial intelligence support directly from your desktop without having to open a web browser.
With this desktop app, users can also share the current screen they are looking at with Gemini, and then ask Gemini various questions and commands.
Google also includes support for the Option + Space shortcut key to activate Gemini, and use it. The Gemini app also includes support for Nano Banana image generation, in addition to Veo video generation - thus increasing productivity and speeding up your tasks.
For those of you who are interested, you can download Gemini for macOS. You need to be using macOS 15 and later to use it.
