The feature that prevents Shorts from appearing fully on the YouTube app timeline is being activated today after it was announced in October last year. To prevent Shorts from appearing on the front page immediately after the app is opened, go to YouTube's Time Management settings today.
In these settings, go to Short Feed Limit and select 0 minutes to prevent it from appearing on the front page. Search will still show Shorts content but if you press it you will receive a notification that the viewing time limit has been reached.
For those who complain that YouTube is becoming like TikTok because of Shorts, this feature needs to be activated today for long-term peace of mind. It has been accepted by users in Malaysia and you only need to update the YouTube app to access it.
