Google has previously been ready to invest in artificial intelligence company Anthropic. Most recently, they have now stated that they will increase their strategic investment in the company behind the Claude offering.
Google will invest $10 billion upfront, and also has an option for an additional investment of $30 billion based on the set targets.
Previously, Google is said to have a stake of around 14% in Anthropic. In addition to Google, several other parties also have investments in Anthropic, including Amazon.
In addition to the investment, Google also provides infrastructure access to Anthropic. In addition, at the same time, the two companies also compete with each other by providing services, where Google has Gemini, while Anthropic has Claude.
