Honor Robot Successfully Beats Human World Record in Half Marathon

Honor has previously been ready to show off its humanoid robot to the public, and aims to offer it widely in the next few years. In line with its development, today Honor also brought its developed robot to participate in the half marathon held in Beijing.

This race, which combines human and robot runners, is being held for the second time. Last year, it saw a large number of robots fail to complete their respective runs, and the fastest robot at that time completed the half marathon in 2 hours and 40 minutes.

However, for 2026, it has seen robots developed in China grow rapidly. More than 100 robots participated in this run, including Honor with their robot.

Honor's robot managed to finish the run in 50 minutes and 26 seconds, which is several minutes faster than the world record holder for humans, Jacob Kiplimo, who recorded a time of 57 minutes and 20 seconds last month.

Running for this long period of time is part of engineering, which combines a number of technical skills, including for cooling, stability while running, support, etc. In addition to over a hundred robots, the run held every year also sees over 12,000 people participate.
