Intel Core 300 Series CPU Details Leaked – Non-Ultra CPUs for Affordable Laptops

Intel recently launched the Intel Core Ultra 300 “Panther Lake” series of powerful thin-and-light laptops, and laptops powered by the chips have already started to enter the market globally. However, these laptops come with a very premium price tag.

Now, details about Intel’s more affordable laptop processor series, “Wildcat Lake,” have recently leaked. The processor series will be called the Intel Core 300, dropping the Ultra name to make it easier for people to know that this will be used for affordable-class computers.

According to details leaked by Jaykinh0 on X, Intel is expected to introduce up to six processor models in this series, two of which will come via the Intel Core 7 300 option, four via the Intel Core 5 300 option and one Intel Core 3 300 chip model.

All of these processor chips will come with two P-cores and four LPE-cores, except for the Intel Core 3 304 which seems to come with only one P-core and four LPE-cores. Yes, this means that all Intel Core 300 chips will not come with the Efficiency-core, whose duties will be completely replaced by LPE cores.

All of these processor chips will also house the original Intel Xe graphics chip and have an AI NPU processing tile that shows the processing capability of 15-17 AI TOPS if it is needed. In terms of power consumption, all of these processor SKUs show a TDP value of 15-35W, making it a series of power-efficient processor chips.

As expected, this processor chip seems to be used in affordable laptops and will compete with segments such as Chromebooks and so on.

At the moment, it is not known when Intel will launch this series of processor chips, but the expectation is that it will be around the middle or third quarter of this year.
