A new month, a new monthly update. This time, Telegram is getting some exciting improvements including the AI Editor. This feature allows the built-in AI-based text editor in the message bar to be used to correct grammar, change writing style, or translate messages into other languages on the fly.
Users can choose sentence styles such as Formal, Short, Tribal, Corp, Zen, Biblical, and Viking to make the communication process more efficient. All processes are carried out through the Cocoon Network, which guarantees full privacy without access to user data.
Next, Telegram has also improved the voting function with various new features. Now users can attach media or locations to questions and answer options, add descriptions for context, and allow new option suggestions in active votes. In addition, voting results can be displayed along with who voted, making the process more transparent.
Users can also set a voting end time, hide results until they are over, and control whether voters can vote again or not. Polls now have a dedicated tab in group and channel profiles that makes it easy to search for active polls and review past poll results.
Then, Telegram now supports iOS Live Photos and Android Motion Photos. Users can send moving photos in three different styles: Live (plays once), Loop (repeats endlessly), and Bounce (repeats back and forth).
Telegram for iOS also improves with a built-in document scanner. The device's camera can be used to scan documents and generate PDF files. This function will also automatically remove the background, crop the image, and allow users to add filters before saving.
Not to mention, Telegram also emphasizes that their official app is open source with verifiable security protocols. For users of third-party apps, their profile will display a security warning so that others know that the messages they send may not be secure.
