Gemini is now not just a virtual assistant but has the ability to control various AI agents offered by third parties. After CapCut made their announcement yesterday, today Adobe and Canva also confirmed that various of their tools will be directly accessible through Gemini in the near future.
Images generated using Google's Nano Banana model can then be edited using Canva's Magic Layers feature. Each element can be edited by separating it into its own layers. Elements such as text, backgrounds, objects and more can be edited one by one. Canva says this feature is currently being given to a small number of users and it will be expanded to more users in the future.
Adobe also says that the Firefly AI Assistant agent can be called upon in Gemini to perform various creative tasks. The Firefly AI Assistant, announced in April, can perform complex workflows across Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, Lightroom, Express and Firefly software. Users only need to give commands to the Firefly AI Assistant and it will then automatically produce works using existing Adobe software. At this time Adobe has not provided a timeline for when this feature will be available in Gemini.
