As promised, Intel launched two new chips Intel Arc G3 and Intel Arc G3 Extreme specifically for mobile console needs with them built on Intel Core Ultra Series 3 Panther Lake. With the launch of these chips, Intel wants to give competition to AMD Ryzen Z which dominates the mobile PC console chip market.
Both Intel Arc G3 chips are equipped with 14-core CPUs (2P + 8E + 4 LP-E) with the difference being in the GPU used. Arc G3 Extreme is equipped with Arc B390 GPU with 12 Xe3 cores while Arc G3 is equipped with Arc B370 GPU with 10 Xe3 cores. TDP is between 8-35W with memory support up to 96GB LPDDR5X-8533.
It fully supports XeSS 3 features including AI frame generation, AI resolution enhancement and reduced latency. It also supports Wi-Fi 7 R2, Bluetooth 6, and Thunderbolt 4.
Acer, MSI, and OneXPlayer will be using the Intel Arc G3 series in their products in the near future. Intel will be showcasing several Arc G3-based consoles at Computex. The Acer Predator Atlas 8 has been announced as the first mobile console to use this chip.
