LinkedIn, a social service under Microsoft, is now expected to announce the layoff of around 5% of its employees. This cut is expected to impact more than 875 global employees of the social service.
The layoffs are said to be in order to continue optimizing operations, and focus the workforce on growing work areas. This move is also seen as similar to various other companies that have also laid off their employees this year, including Microsoft, Meta and others.
One of the things that has an impact on this technology sector is the development of artificial intelligence technology, which many use in producing code and development. Since 2025, we are ready to see many workers in the technology arena being reduced day by day.
