Samsung Introduces QD-OLED Screen Display With 4K Resolution and 360Hz Refresh Rate

In conjunction with the Computex Taipei event that will take place next week, Samsung has just introduced their latest screen display that uses QD-OLED panels that are usually shown on their premium television series for gaming and computing productivity purposes.

This Samsung QD-OLED panel comes with a dual-mode feature where this display comes with a combination of 4K/360Hz and Full HD/680Hz resolution and refresh rates that are very suitable for various types of computer games and different usage patterns.

In terms of brightness value, this display is confirmed as a DisplayHDR True Black 600 panel where accurate white processing can be achieved at a brightness value of 600 nits, and true black processing at a brightness value of 0.0005 nits.

This display also comes with a V-shaped pixel structure that arranges red, green and blue subpixels in a vertical stripe pattern that allows the edges of the text to be displayed more sharply. This is an optimal monitor solution for users who are sensitive to text readability, including those working on documents, coding, graphics and content creation.

In terms of panel size, this screen display comes in at 31.5 inches diagonally, and Samsung is apparently in talks with 10 of its global customers to implement this panel in their products.

It is expected that the screen display with this new QD-OLED panel will be introduced in the third or fourth quarter of this year, with various leading display brands using it as the basis for their future premium gaming or productivity displays.
