The Sarawak Premier has now shared that Sarawak is planning to have its own space agency, which will enable the state to invest and develop in the state's aerospace sector.
The Sarawak Space Agency is expected to become one of the agencies that focuses on key coordination in matters related to aerospace, including planning, establishing and developing local capabilities.
At the same time, Sarawak is also planning to launch nanosatellites by 2030, which will allow real-time data involving earth observation to be collected and used in environmental planning and resource management. Previously, Sarawak also recently launched its own LEO satellite with a focus on climate data and several other things.
