Xiaomi today also introduced the Xiaomi Watch S5 (46mm) in Malaysia. This smartwatch comes with new features including up to 21 days of battery life and a thinner and lighter design, making it more practical for users.
To be more specific, it brings a 1.48-inch AMOLED display with thin bezels, 480×480 resolution, 2500 nits peak brightness and wet hand protection. It is also combined with a premium design using a 316L stainless steel frame, a 10.99mm thin body and weighs only 46 grams to provide more elegant comfort and style.
It also has more than 150 sports modes including cycling with Bluetooth power meter support, performance reports and ski mode with fall detection.
In addition, there is Passion Mode which works to detect cheering movements (applause, hand swings and others) and converts them into fitness metrics such as heart rate, calories and cheer count.
In addition, it also supports dual-frequency GNSS five systems (GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS) with higher accuracy, offline map support, route navigation and route departure warning.
In terms of health sensors, it is equipped with a new 4 LED + 4 PD sensor for heart rate and SpO₂, stress monitoring, women's health and sleep algorithm 2.0 with increased accuracy (11–14%). The sleep improvement plan is also developed with the World Sleep Society and the Asian sleep expert body.
Smart integration is also available via Xiaomi Smart Hub for smart home device control and support for popular fitness apps. It also supports NFC payments with Mastercard and Visa.
Not to mention, it comes with an 815mAh battery that offers endurance of up to 21 days (light use), 14 days (normal use) and 9 days (AOD).
Xiaomi Watch S5 is offered in Malaysia in Black and Silver color options at RM799, while the Ceramic Blue and Jungle Green variants are priced at RM899 depending on the color type and material. In conjunction with the launch, there are also promotional prices as low as RM659 and RM719 for a limited time, making it even more attractive for users who want to get this watch at a more affordable price.
