Acer Unveils Two New Smart Glasses – AR Vision GR0 And GI0 AI Glasses

Acer is introducing two new pairs of smart glasses at Computex 2026. Of the two models, the Acer AR Vision GR0 is an interesting and standout model. It can be connected to a phone, laptop or tablet via a cable and then displays dual OLED micro-screens (one for each eye) that create a virtual display of up to 172 inches from a distance of about 20 feet. In addition, it supports content with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 in 2D mode and 3840 × 1080 in 3D mode.

The screen supports a 60Hz refresh rate, DCI-P3 color gamut, 24-bit color, a 50,000:1 contrast ratio and 200 nits brightness. At 69 grams, it is quite light for a wired AR device. In addition, there is a removable light shield option and magnetic lens support for nearsightedness. This device is also compatible with Android, iOS and Windows without platform restrictions.

Acer also introduced the Acer GI0 AI Glasses which can be considered a competitor to the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. It offers wireless connectivity and can be connected to phones via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, while also using Google Gemini as the main AI assistant.

Among the interesting features provided include a 12MP camera for photo and video recording, real-time AI translation, live captions and voice recording. All of this again makes it similar to the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. All data is stored in 32GB of internal storage. These glasses are also compatible with Android and iOS via the Acer AspireSync application and are lightweight at only 46 grams for the frame alone.
