Apple M6 Chip Not Said to Have “Pro” and “Max” Versions

Apple usually introduces a regular version of its M-series processor, before introducing a higher-spec version a few months later, in the “Pro” and “Max” variants. However, according to reports, Apple will not introduce “Pro” and “Max” versions of its M6 processor.

This will be the first time Apple has not introduced the variant under the M-series. According to a Bloomberg report, Apple will introduce the Apple M6 chip in the MacBook Pro later this year, which includes higher GPU support, in line with demand and use of artificial intelligence models.

And moving to 2027, Apple will continue to the Apple M7 chip, and will skip the introduction of the M6 Pro and M6 Max versions.

At the same time, Apple is said to be still in development of the Apple M5 Ultra chip, which is expected to be introduced along with the new Mac Studio offerings.
