HP Malaysia has confirmed that another laptop series introduced during the CES 2026 event earlier this year, the HP EliteBook X G2i, will enter the local market with two model offerings, one in a classic laptop design, and another with a display that can be rotated 360 degrees to be used as a tablet.
The HP EliteBook X G2i comes in two different model options, one with a traditional laptop design, and the other with a hinge that allows the display to rotate 360 degrees called the HP EliteBook X Flip G2i. The regular G2i model comes with a Tandem OLED screen display with touch functionality at a resolution of 2880×1800 with a refresh rate of 120Hz, while the EliteBook X G2i Spin model comes with a 14-inch IPS touch display with a resolution of 1920×1200.
Both laptop models will be powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra 5 and Core Ultra 7 Series 3 “Panther Lake” processors with up to 64GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 2TB of PCIe 5.0 SSD storage.
In terms of port offerings, this laptop series comes with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB 3.2 Type-C port, one USB 3.2 Type-A port, one HDMI 2.1 port, and one 3.5mm audio port, which is sufficient for a variety of uses.
Another advantage of this laptop series is that it is very light, weighing only close to 1kg. Combined with the already small and lightweight chassis size, this makes the HP EliteBook X G2i a compact laptop that is not only powerful, but can be carried anywhere.
HP Malaysia has said that this series of laptops will be arriving in the local market soon, with the initial price tag offerings as follows:
HP EliteBook X Flip G2i – Starting at RM6999
HP EliteBook X G2i – Starting at RM10,000.
Looking at the HP Malaysia website, the EliteBook X G2a and G2q laptop models powered by a choice of AMD and Qualcomm processor chips may also be arriving in the local market, but at the moment it is unknown when these laptops will be unveiled.
