As rumored for over two months, NVIDIA has finally launched the RTX Spark SOC, which combines an Arm N1X CPU with a Blackwell GPU and 128GB of RAM. With this high processing power, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said that NVIDIA and Microsoft will “reinvent the PC”.
AI agents can be run directly from a computer using RTX Spark, changing the PC world like mobile phones changed the modern smartphone. A total of 30 laptops and 10 desktops with RTX chips will be launched by Microsoft, Dell, HP, ASUS, Lenovo and MSI starting next fall.
The introduction of RTX Spark also marks NVIDIA’s serious entry into the CPU market, which was previously dominated by Intel, AMD, Qualcomm and Apple. The extent to which Huang’s prediction will come true will only be known after the first RTX Spark-equipped PCs hit the market.
Previously, he said that AI PCs would change the world by making the PCs launched 30 years ago obsolete. Then he said that Copilot+ PCs would change the world. Neither of these changed the PC landscape as he predicted. With PC prices now becoming prohibitively expensive due to the race to build data centers, will this be another prediction that will remain just a dream?
