LinkedIn Adds GIF Support in Comments

LinkedIn now allows users to add GIFs directly in the comments section as a new way to respond to updates. This functionality is available in the latest version of the LinkedIn app, with a GIF option added to the reply box.

According to LinkedIn Chief Product Officer Hari Srinivasan, this new feature provides an easy way to select and add moving images in comment replies. While it may be considered a small update, he is confident that there are still a few users who will start to notice that LinkedIn's display looks more alive than usual due to the use of GIFs. This feature can also be found alongside the image and emoji download options in the reply box.

Previously, GIFs could only be used in private messages or ads with only one image. Meanwhile, for display in the main section (LinkedIn display), users had to convert the GIF to an MP4 video file first so that it could be played. However, with the latest update, GIFs can be used directly without having to go through additional processes.

In addition, in the same development, LinkedIn also updated the display of options in updates by arranging them in a simpler line. This change makes the layout easier for users to use each function directly.
