Manus is one of the artificial intelligence firms that is ready to make a name for itself by offering AI agents that allow you to optimize them in performing a number of tasks. In fact, it was previously acquired by Meta for $2 billion.
However, the acquisition was not approved by Chinese authorities, causing the process of canceling the acquisition to take place. According to initial reports, a number of early investors in Manus are now planning to withdraw their money and buy back Manus from Meta.
Among the names mentioned are Tencent, HSG and even ZhenFund. They are expected to buy back for $2 billion – the same as what Meta previously paid.
Manus has been growing healthily since being acquired by Meta, and its revenue alone is said to have increased by around 4 to 5 times compared to before the Meta acquisition. With this new change, it is expected to provide more profit to early investors in Manus in buying it back.
At the same time, it is said that Manus will be structured as a company in China, and is looking at a public listing in Hong Kong.
