The Shah Alam LRT service has been officially launched today, further expanding the reach of efficient public transport to more locations. In parallel with this launch, the government announced free services for the Shah Alam LRT line for a month starting 29 June 2029, 6 am.
The introduction of this line is also expected to continue to reduce road congestion, while also reducing carbon emissions in urban areas. At the same time, this project is also seen to bring economic benefits to millions of residents along the line.
In parallel with the introduction of the Shah Alam LRT3 Line, it is also strengthened with other public transport, such as the Rapid KL On-Demand van service, to further complete the public transport ecosystem.
For users, you can ride the LRT3 Shah Alam Line for free starting from 29 June 2026 until 31 July 2026, covering 20 stations on the Shah Alam Line, as well as free travel on 13 Shah Alam Interchange Bus routes (excluding Rapid KL On-Demand), and also free parking at 6 Park N Ride locations.
