With the strategic partnership announced by Sea and OpenAI, starting today, users in Malaysia can also access Shopee support directly through ChatGPT. To activate its use, you only need to go to ChatGPT Apps, and then install Shopee.
Next, you can link your Shopee account (or not), and start using it to make any inquiries or perform any searches. This also makes it easier for you to research or compare a product, and then go directly to Shopee to make a purchase. Through our experiment, we tried to ask about laptop offers for students, and then it listed related products including providing explanations for the product we were looking for.
For now, the purchase process still happens on the Shopee app or website, and not directly through ChatGPT. However, this is a new beginning, and perhaps we will see more improvements and integrations day by day.
