The YouTube Shorts interface was given a new lease of life this morning to make it easier to watch videos without interruption. Interface visuals such as the Like button, captions, and so on can be hidden by selecting Clear Screen in the three-dot menu. Shorts now look cleaner with only the video visible.
The option to watch videos at 2X speed has also been introduced by swiping down on the screen. This is very useful when watching a tutorial video and you just want information quickly. Next, the audio mute feature has also been provided more quickly.
For video owners, the Dislike button is now no longer displayed, but only a heart-shaped like button is displayed. Replacing it is a button that says do not recommend the Shorts you are watching. All of the features announced this morning are being rolled out in stages to all global users.
