Meta is said to be planning to come up with a business focused on cloud computing and data center rental to third parties. Most likely, Anthropic will be Meta's first customer for this purpose.
According to reports, Anthropic is said to be in early discussions with Meta to rent Meta's computing power for artificial intelligence purposes. For your information, Meta is ready to make a high investment in data center development, but their Meta AI still does not have a high number of users. As an alternative, they are looking to rent it to third parties, and generate additional revenue through it.
According to reports, if this collaboration between Antrhopci and Meta is successful, it is expected to be worth around $10 billion.
For now, both parties have not commented on this. If successful, it will also position Meta as a player in the cloud computing arena, and compete with AWS, Azure, and even Google Cloud.
