DuckDuckGo is a provider of tracker-free search engine services, and also offers a number of services under them, including the DuckDuckGo Browser web browser. Today, through a new update, DuckDuckGo announced the addition of a YouTube ad blocking feature to their DuckDuckGo Browser web browser.
DuckDuckGo Browser was previously ready to include ad blocking and pop-up ads in their web browser, and now it seems to have been extended to YouTube sites. This feature is enabled for all DuckDuckGo Browser web browser users on Windows, Mac and iOS.
DuckDuckGo stated that this feature is made possible through the use of a list of community-contributed blocks and managed by uBlock Origin. It is not known how long this feature will be maintained on the web browser, before YouTube takes steps to overcome it. For those of you who want to try it, you can download DuckDuckGo Browser for desktop and iOS.
