Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim today announced that 100,000 youths aged between 18 and 30 years old will receive free subscription access to artificial intelligence services for three months. This initiative will be offered under the AI for the People Programme, which is expected to open on National Day, 31 August 2026.
This free access is expected to be given to youths who complete special training modules related to AI within the period specified under the AI for the People Programme. However, it was not specified which AI services will be covered under this programme.
This move is also seen as in line with the country's digitalisation agenda, and ensuring that youths are prepared with various latest technologies. More information related to it is expected to be shared ahead of its launch.
