After OnePlus announced its withdrawal from the North American and European markets today, Realme has confirmed that they are withdrawing from the Chinese market. The announcement was made by Realme founder Xu Qi himself via his Weibo page.
Realme will focus resources on overseas markets by focusing on performance and gaming, as well as bringing cutting-edge technology to the world. The development of Realme UI will also no longer be continued and will be replaced by the ColorOS system developed by parent company Oppo. This means that all devices under the Oppo umbrella, including OnePlus, will use the same operating system after trying to move independently a few years ago.
Customers in China will still receive software update support, post-purchase assistance and get device replacements after this.
