Spotify is now launching a new feature called ‘Talk to Spotify’ that allows Premium users to communicate with the app via voice or text commands. With this function, Spotify is no longer just a music application but acts as a smart space that can chat with users about the content they are listening to.
Through the Talk to Spotify feature, users can control music with their voice, understand the song or album that is playing more deeply by asking questions and reviewing their listening history. This feature is also not limited to music alone as it also supports podcasts and audiobooks, thus allowing users to obtain additional information about the author or guest involved. To use this feature, users only need to press the microphone button in the search field to speak or type commands as an alternative.
Currently, the feature is launched in beta form specifically for Premium users aged 18 and above in the United States, Ireland, and Sweden first with English language support on iOS and Android devices. Spotify also emphasized that it is still in the development phase so feedback from users will be an important basis for improving and improving the function in the future.
