Samsung May Return With Premium Headphones – Potentially Challenging Sony and Apple

Samsung once ventured into the large-sized headphone segment with the Level Over model in 2014. However, after that, their focus shifted completely to the Galaxy Buds series, leading to the perception that this brand no longer produces its own headphones.

Now, a new report has emerged stating that Samsung has the potential to return to the premium headphone segment with a model codenamed Galaxy H1. It is expected to come with Bluetooth 6.0 support for more stable connections and low latency, thus improving the music listening experience.

In addition, the Galaxy H1 will support the SSC UHQ codec which allows audio to be played without losing quality, thus targeting high-fidelity audio enthusiasts. More interestingly, it is also equipped with active noise cancellation (ANC) technology to make it on par with major competitors such as the Sony WH‑1000XM6 and AirPods Max 2.

According to SamMobile sources, the launch is expected around 2027. Samsung's presence in this segment has the potential to expand premium options, as well as provide a new challenge to Sony and Apple's dominance in the luxury headphone market. If true, the Galaxy H1 could mark Samsung's return to the world of premium headphones, as well as expanding alternatives for consumers in the luxury category.
