Arm CSS for Mobile 2 has been announced with the latest Arm C2-Ultra CPU and Mali G2-Ultra NX GPU, which are designed specifically for devices that can run artificial intelligence (AI) tasks natively. The new platform combines the C2-Ultra and C2-Pro CPUs with two SME2 units to double the AI capabilities compared to the previous generation.
The result is a 1.7x performance increase when running the latest AI models and 15% faster for single-threaded, web browsing, and application launching. The Mali G2-Ultra NX GPU also integrates neural drivers directly into the shader core to support the third-generation ray tracing system.
Arm has not yet announced the first processors that will use Arm CSS for Mobile 2, but it will definitely arrive on MediaTek and Exynos processors that will be launched in the near future.
