HarmonyOS 7 has been officially introduced in China as a new generation operating system that brings significant improvements in terms of performance and user experience. It also introduces an AI-based ecosystem with an emphasis on gaming, security and multi-device support.
The HarmonyOS 7 interface is designed fresher with Spatial Computing technology that adds light, shadow and 3D elements to applications such as the camera, weather and calendar. Through this approach, the display will look more alive. New features such as 3D Lock Screen, Spatial Clock and Spatial Wallpaper also provide a modern and immersive display experience.
HarmonyOS 7 also comes with a set of sophisticated 3D functions for a new experience for users. Among those offered are Remy, which can convert drone footage into 3D maps, and V2Fun, which allows 3D models to be formed from just one photo. In addition, there is Dianping which provides virtual tours of stores, while Huawei 3DGS is used to produce 3D product models for e-commerce platforms.
The system also brings new integrations through Harmony Intelligence combined with Celia to facilitate collaboration between devices. Celia comes with a simpler design, equipped with continuous translation functions and additional support including smart home management. At the same time, key applications such as Petal Maps, Huawei Browser, Music, Video, Reading and Themes are enhanced with AI agents to provide more accurate recommendations.
For the gaming experience, the system offers AI Super Resolution for clearer images and Intelligent HDR for better lighting. Ark Scheduling Engine support helps increase frame rate stability by up to 40% while Intelligent Frame Stabilization ensures games remain at 60fps for up to 3.5 hours. As a result, the gaming experience is more consistent.
In addition, connections between devices are now easier with functions such as Tap to Transfer, encrypted file sharing, Game Sharing and Remote Direct Transfer. Through Harmony Galaxy Interconnection, users can monitor family status, health and daily activities on a single screen.
Complementing this, user assistance features include Text Call, which can transcribe conversations in real time to help those with speech impairments. Digital Asset Inheritance allows data such as photos and notes to be stored and shared securely through multi-factor authentication.
