This week NVIDIA officially launched its Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) 5 system that can produce more realistic-looking graphics with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). The feature, announced last March, is now supported on RTX 50-Series graphics cards, with NVIDIA confirming that it will also be available on RTX 40-Series in the future.
The first game to officially support DLSS 5 is NBA 2K7. NVIDIA worked with Visual Concept to create the best DLSS 5 experience when NBA 2K27 is run on a PC.
DLSS is now available on GeForce RTX 50-Series GPUs, RTX 50-Series laptops, and GeForce NOW. DLSS 5 is optimized for the fifth-generation “Blackwell” Tensor cores, while support for the fourth-generation “Ada Lovelace” Tensor cores is still being optimized. However, the PC modding community has managed to unofficially enable the feature on the RTX 40-Series as well as on some AMD cards.
Among the studios that have confirmed DLSS 5 support are Bethesda, CAPCOM, Hotta Studio, NetEase, NCSOFT, S-GAME, Tencent, Ubisoft and Warner Bros. Games. Games that will support it are AION 2, Assassin's Creed Shadows, Black State, CINDER CITY, Delta Force, Hogwarts Legacy, Justice, NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, NTE: Neverness to Everness, Phantom Blade Zero, Resident Evil™ Requiem, Sea of Remnants, Starfield, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, and Where Winds Meet.
