The Apple iPhone Duo officially reaches customers who placed pre-orders today, with availability expanding globally. As this is Apple’s first foldable device, the number of apps in the App Store that support it remains limited. Starting this morning, a “Made for iPhone Duo” badge has begun appearing on apps within the App Store, making it easier for early adopters to identify applications compatible with the iPhone Duo.
The badge appeared this morning, and among the first apps to support the iPhone Duo are Apple TV, Prime Video, Netflix, iQiyi, Instagram, Edits, Taobao, Asphalt Legends, and Zenless Zone Zero. Local apps confirmed to support the iPhone Duo include Grab, Zus, and Astro Radio.
Apps for the iPhone Duo differ from those designed for iPadOS, as they must be tailored for use in both external and internal screen modes. This approach by Apple mirrors the strategy Google employed with Android 12L, which was specifically developed to support the first generation of foldable devices five years ago.
