The TuJu app has garnered significant attention this week, following a government directive prohibiting civil servants from using Waze due to concerns that location data could be accessed by Israeli parties. Consequently, various local and global applications have come into focus as users seek alternatives for their daily navigation needs.
TuJu is one such app that has gained traction, bolstered by an endorsement from the Prime Minister himself. The team behind TuJu reported that the app surpassed 700,000 downloads in just over a day—a remarkably high figure for a local application within such a short timeframe. This sudden surge in users led to some system disruptions, which the TuJu team is currently working to resolve. The navigation app was first introduced in late November 2025.
In addition to TuJu, another local application that has attracted considerable attention is Pintaz, which is available for both Android and iPhone.
