The Oakley Meta HSTN and Vanguard smart glasses are now available in Malaysia. Unlike the Ray-Ban Meta series, which emphasizes everyday style, these Oakley models focus on active sports enthusiasts and those who enjoy outdoor activities.
The Oakley Meta HSTN features a casual, modern design suitable for those who want smart glasses while maintaining a relaxed, everyday look. Meanwhile, the Oakley Meta Vanguard boasts a more aggressive, performance-oriented design. It is specifically built for high durability and use during intense sports activities.
In terms of specifications, both models are equipped with a 12MP ultra-wide camera, video recording up to 3K resolution, and an immersive audio system featuring a five-microphone array for clearer voice capture. The Vanguard model offers advantages such as a wider 122° field of view (FOV) and a 6dB boost in speaker volume, ensuring audio remains loud and clear even when cycling or engaging in high-speed sports.
The HSTN meets the IPX4 standard for splash resistance—similar to the Ray-Ban Meta—while the Vanguard offers superior protection with an IP67 rating, guarding against dust and water immersion. Regarding battery life, the HSTN lasts up to 8 hours on a single charge, whereas the Vanguard lasts up to 9 hours. Both come with a charging case that extends total usage time to up to 48 hours.
The Oakley Meta HSTN is priced at RM2,069 in Malaysia, while the Oakley Meta Vanguard is priced at RM2,589. Both smart glass models will be available starting October 20, 2026, at Oakley stores and EssilorLuxottica retail networks—including Sunglass Hut, A-Look, SEEN, and selected optical stores nationwide.
