WhatsApp Tests New Media Hub for iOS Users

WhatsApp is reportedly testing a new feature that allows iPhone users to view all photos, videos, and links received in one centralized location. This eliminates the need for users to open individual conversations to locate previously shared content. At present, the feature is still under development and is not yet accessible to users.

Unlike the existing "Media, Links & Docs" function—which can only be accessed within individual conversations—this new media hub aggregates content from various chats into a single view. This makes it easier for users to retrieve received media or links without having to check each conversation one by one. WhatsApp is also expected to provide options for viewing media content, offering both list and grid display formats.

The feature also includes a search function, enabling users to find media content based on its accompanying caption. Furthermore, users can share content to other conversations, add reactions, save important items, and jump directly to the original conversation where the content was received. As of now, WhatsApp has not yet announced when this feature will be officially rolled out to users.
