Spotify is already well-known for its music streaming service, used by hundreds of millions of people worldwide. Beyond this, it is reported that Spotify intends to launch an AI-powered song remixing service by the first quarter of 2027.
Through this service, users will be able to leverage AI to create their own versions of songs—such as applying the vocal style of a different artist to a track, altering the tempo, or making various other modifications. Access to this feature will likely require an additional subscription fee.
Spotify is expected to pay royalties to the original artists, even when their songs are remixed by users of the service. Currently, Spotify has begun securing licensing agreements with several record labels for this new feature.
This initiative will offer Spotify users greater creative freedom to personalize songs according to their preferences, while simultaneously continuing to support the original artists.
