Adobe Premiere Pro Available on the Apple M1

Adobe finally launched the Premiere Pro device for Mac with the Apple M1 chip, having gone through a beta period since last December.
The Premiere Pro that naturally supports the M1 chip is promised to experience significant improvements over the past. Like 50% faster when opened and 77% faster when used for video editing.

The presence of this Adobe application can be said to be very important as it is widely used by content creators. Adobe itself was quick enough to release a compatible app for the M1 chip, as the first Mac device with this chip launched last November.

For example, Lightroom for the M1 launched in December, then Photoshop launched in March, then Lightroom Classic, Illustrator, and InDesign for the M1 were released last June.

Along with Premiere Pro, Adobe also launched Character Animator and Media Encoder for ARM -based on -chip (SoC) systems.

Premiere Pro also gets a number of new features in this July’s update. One of them is the ‘speech to text’ feature, which can automatically create a transcript of a conversation from audio in video.

Macs with M1 chips were released in November 2020. Devices with M1 chips can basically run applications for Macs with Intel processors, but to get all the benefits from M1, the software needs to be improved to support the ARM architecture.

Adobe was one of the software makers invited by Apple to begin the migration from Intel to the M1. The reason is because their software is widely used by Mac users, and can even be called a mandatory creative software in various industries.
