Japan developed sex aids for use in outer space

TENGA, a Japanese company that makes sex aids in outer space. They plan to send sex toys on their own rockets so that the astronauts ’sexual lives there can still be fulfilled. Sex is a person's biological need, isn't it?
The mission was partially funded on the Campfire website, raising USD 16642.13. The project is in partnership with Interstellar Technologies (IST), a civilian space carrier that aims to make space more accessible with budget cuts. The launch is planned to take place between July and August from Hokkaido Spaceport, depending on weather conditions.

The mission will be launched using a MOMO IST rocket designed to deliver payloads up to an altitude of 100 km.

Citing IFL Science, Tuesday (27/7/2021) the company aims to be a company that produces sexual aid products that can be used by space explorers outside the Earth. The device may be equipped with a vacuum system that can remove lubricant and sperm from the device. The method is very similar to the ability of a space toilet to dispose and store feces before it is dumped on Earth.

"The TENGA rocket will carry messages from our project fans and supporters into space; messages of 'love' and 'freedom' from people around the world, regardless of country, religion, age, gender or sexuality," TENGA President Koichi Matsumoto told IFLScience .

"Also, since this company was founded, I am very confident that eventually there will be a huge need for TENGA in space. Sexuality and its needs have always been a part of us, so I wanted to take this opportunity, through my coincidental meeting with Mr Horie (Founder) IST), as our first step in developing a space product. Maybe one day, we will be able to create something that NASA wants to include in their space mission. "

Dr. Eleanor Armstrong and Akvile Terminaite, researchers and designers from EXO-MOAN Studio, had time to comment on the matter. They emphasize that efforts to satisfy their sexual needs in space are nothing new. For example, there are already space masturbation tools from Russia. There were also two experiments to help people have sex in space.

This public funding effort is actually more appropriate. Because in the mirror of the Pornhub campaign, for example in 2015, the Indiegogo campaign to make pornographic footage in outer space failed. While official space agencies may not be interested in sponsoring sexist content, perhaps public fundraising in support of private space missions might make it more likely.
