Some time ago, US President Joe Biden gave his country's intelligence agencies 3 months to thoroughly examine the origins of the Corona COVID-19 virus. The results are now out and there is no convincing conclusion yet.
Even the US intelligence community is divided, one believing the Corona virus came from nature and part believing it came from a laboratory. "After examining all intelligence reports and other information, the intelligence community remains divided about the most likely source of COVID-19," the report said.
"All intelligence services start that two hypotheses are plausible, exposure to infected animals and laboratory-related incidents," they added.
The report, compiled by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, concludes, wherever it comes from, the Corona virus was not developed as a biological weapon. Chinese officials did not predict that the initial outbreak would lead to a global pandemic.
They claim they cannot reach a definitive conclusion without other information. In response to this report, Joe Biden said that his party would continue to pressure China to disclose more information about the origin of the Corona pandemic.
"Important information about the source of this pandemic exists in China, but from the start, government officials in China worked to prevent international investigators and members of the global health community from accessing it," Biden said.
"The world deserves the answers and I won't stop until we get them," said Trump's successor.
Among scientists, most believe the Corona virus comes from nature, not from a lab. "The huge evidence suggests this is a naturally occurring virus. That doesn't mean there's no chance it was secretly studied at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and leaked from there, we don't know. But the virus itself has no sign of being intentionally created by humans," said Dr. Francis Collins, director of the National Institutes of Health
