Xiaomi recently overtook Apple and became the second largest smartphone vendor in the world. Xiaomi’s pursuit doesn’t seem to stop as they have just become the dominant European mobile market in the second quarter of 2021.
Based on the Strategy Analysis report, Xiaomi ranked first with a market share of 25.3% after shipping 12.7 million units of mobile phones in Q2 2021. This Chinese seller also recorded a remarkable growth of 67% year -on -year.
"The highlight of the quarter was Xiaomi emerging as the number one vendor in terms of shipments for the first time. In third place is Apple with a 19.2% market share and shipments of 9.6 million units. The iPhone manufacturer recorded a growth of 15.7% over the same period last year.
