Does Your PC Support Windows 11? Check Using This Application

 


Windows 11 will be released on October 5th. Approaching release time, Microsoft is bringing an app to make it easier for anyone to check if their PC supports the Windows 10 successor.

An app called PC Health Check, previously available to Windows Insiders, is now available for general users to download. If you're not sure if the PC you're using can run Windows 11, running PC Health Check is the easiest way to be sure.


Microsoft originally released the PC Health Check app when it first announced Windows 11. But due to controversy over system requirements, the app was eventually pulled out of the way.




Late last month Microsoft released a list of supported CPUs. Microsoft says that most 7th Gen Intel and AMD Zen 1 processors are not eligible for the upgrade. But will not block manual installation using ISO.


As for ARM-based laptops, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 chip or later is required, including a Microsoft SQ processor. Here are the minimum PC specs for Windows 11:

Processor: Compatible 64-bit processor (x86-64 or ARM64) with a clock speed of at least 1 GHz and at least 2 cores

RAM: Minimum 4 GB

Internal memory : At least 64 GB

System Firmware: UEFI

Security :

Secure Boot, enabled by default


Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0


Graphics card : Compatible with DirectX 12 or later with WDDM 2.0 . driver

Display: Screen with HD resolution (720p) with a minimum size of 9 inches and 8 bit color units

Internet connection and Microsoft account: Internet connection and Microsoft account are required to complete the first time setup in Windows 11 Home.
